Let’s hope Trump does not throw a dangerous tantrum in the coming weeks

SULKING in the club house? We must hope Donald doesn’t stamp his feet and throw a dangerous tantrum in the next few weeks. Almost half the Americans voted for him, as Stephen Paton points out (It’s a warning for all of us that so many voted Trump, November 9).

The human species has access to the planet’s bank account. Will Biden be the man to administer the corrective treatment needed to curb our spendthrift behaviour?

The restraints required on the international stage over the next 30 years as we increasingly face the impact of climate change will demand the calibre of leadership currently shown in Holyrood. An independent Scotland must lead by example.
